About Me
I’m Sofia Pinedo. I live in São Paulo, and I am the founder of GreenED.info, a space created to make sustainability feel simple, practical, and within everyone’s reach. I’ve always believed that small actions, when multiplied, can transform communities. That’s what inspired me to build this platform: to share knowledge, stories, and tools that help people, children, teens, and adults live in ways that care for our planet.
My passion for the environment grew through many paths: researching how urbanization in Brazil affects biodiversity, volunteering in projects that fight period poverty and food insecurity, and spending summers canoeing through the Canadian wilderness, where I learned that every drop of clean water and every patch of sunlight is a gift. Those journeys shaped how I see sustainability as something we live through gratitude and respect for what surrounds us.

Meeting Like-Minds
At school, I’m part of initiatives that bridge creativity and service, from leading Act Out, a theatre group for younger students, to contributing to Speak Up, an English-teaching project for public-school youth. I'm excited to share this site with the kids I help through these activities too!
Whether I’m studying architecture, design, or geography, I’m drawn to one question: how can we create environments, digital or physical, that support both people and the planet? Through GreenED, I hope to encourage others to see sustainability the way I do: as an adventure of awareness, kindness, and shared responsibility. The future isn’t built by grand gestures but by everyday choices.
Have fun and Green it UP!
XOXO
Sofia P.
